Rastas still fight for education rights
Rastafarians in the country have expressed concern over the delay by the Office of President and Cabinet (OPC) in addressing their petition which they presented through the Lilongwe district commissioner on August 10 this year.
Among others, the Rastas marched to the DC’s office complaining that government is banning their children from attending public schools while in dreadlocks.
“We are wondering why we have not yet gotten any response from the OPC.
At least they could have handled the issue of education rights because that was among our major concerns,” says Ras Judah, president of the Rastafari Unity.
